Rigid-arm Assisted Manipulator

Advantage of Assisted Lifting Manipulator

We have a strong technical team that provides pre-sales consultation, detailed solutions based on customer needs, and after-sales installation.

Rigid-arm assisted manipulator arms are widely used in the automotive, film, paper and printing, home appliance and electronics manufacturing, machining and casting, food, pharmaceutical and chemical, warehousing and logistics, and new energy industries.

Cardboard Box Palletizing Manipulator

System Architecture

Rigid-Arm carton palletizing manipulators are a robust solution for handling high loads, large eccentric moments, and precise palletizing requirements.

Unlike traditional cable-operated lifters, rigid-arm manipulators transmit power through a rigid linkage mechanism. This not only counteracts the weight of the carton but also effectively resists lateral swaying and torque, making it an ideal choice for high-precision, high-frequency palletizing.

The rigid-arm manipulator’s structural design aims to balance high rigidity with low inertia.

  • Rigid Arm Body: Utilizing parallelogram-shaped linkages made of high-strength aluminum alloy or carbon fiber composite materials, it ensures the end effector remains parallel to the ground during horizontal extension.
  • Power Source: Most mainstream devices employ a servo-pneumatic hybrid power system, combining the compliance of pneumatics with the precise control of servos.
  • End Effector (EOAT): Customizable to carton specifications; common options include:
  •       Multi-head Vacuum Cup:Compatible with most neatly sealed cartons.
  •       Side Grip Mechanism: Suitable for overweight or loosely sealed heavy-duty cartons.
  • Column/Rail Base: Supports fixed column mounting, mobile base mounting, or machine tool overhead mounting.

Working Principle

A. Resistance to eccentric loads

When gripping large cardboard boxes and with the center of gravity off-center from the spindle, the rigid arm structure can counteract torque through rigid support.

B. Zero Gravity Global Balance

The system incorporates high-precision displacement and pressure sensors. Powered by embodied intelligent algorithms in 2026, the system not only achieves static balance but also compensates for inertial forces during movement, ensuring that when an operator lifts a 100kg cardboard box, the perceived weight is less than 1.5kg.

Core Technical Parameters

Rated load50kg∼250kgRigid boom structure supports higher loads
Effective working radius2,500mm∼4,500mmCan cover dual-station palletizing
Lifting stroke1,500mm∼2,500mmSupports high-level stacking above 2.1m
Repeatability±0.2mmFar superior to cable-operated equipment

Application Scenarios

High-precision palletizing: Suitable for industries with extremely high requirements for the placement of cardboard boxes, such as electronics and precision instruments.

Heavy-duty environments: Suitable for scenarios where cardboard boxes weighing over 40kg are used in industries such as chemicals, building materials, or home appliances.

Space-constrained areas: The rigid boom structure allows for folding and retraction, performing better than overhead cranes or cantilever cranes in workshops with low ceilings or many columns.
