Overview
A magnetic adsorption manipulator typically refers to a robotic arm system that integrates a permanent magnet adsorption terminal (Magnetic Gripper). It uses a controlled magnetic field (usually an electro-permanent magnet or a pneumatic permanent magnet) to grasp, move, and place magnetically conductive metal workpieces (such as steel plates, castings, shafts, etc.).
Core Working Principle
The core of the magnetic adsorption robot lies in its end-effector.
- Pneumatic Permanent Magnet Technology: Internally composed of permanent magnets, it achieves “adsorption” and “release” by changing the direction of the magnetic poles through compressed air.
- Advantages: Magnetism remains intact even in the event of a sudden power or gas outage in the factory. The workpiece will remain firmly attracted and will not fall.

- No Wearing Parts: Unlike vacuum chucks (where the cups are prone to wear and cracking), magnetic adsorption heads have virtually no wearing parts, making maintenance extremely easy.
- Surface Protection: Magnetic gripping is generally more uniform than mechanical clamping, and is less likely to leave mechanical indentations on the surface of precision workpieces.
