System Architecture
Plate and glass handling manipulators are key devices for handling large, fragile, and heavy-duty materials. Considering the fragility of glass, the ease with which it leaves marks, and the diverse sizes of sheet materials (such as metal sheets and composite panels), the following is a detailed description of the technical solutions.
This system typically employs a rigid-arm structure combined with a high-sensitivity vacuum suction system to ensure absolute stability of the workpiece’s posture during handling.
Support Structure: Utilizes a high-strength aluminum alloy or carbon fiber cantilever to reduce rotational inertia and enhance the lightness of manual guidance.
Lifting System: Employs a precision pneumatic balancer or servo motor system to achieve “zero-gravity” floating.
End Effector (EOAT): An adaptive vacuum suction cup matrix with multi-zone control capabilities.
Working Principle
The system uses a vacuum pump or Venturi ejector to generate negative pressure inside the suction cup.
The system features automatic weight recognition. The pressure sensor captures load changes in real time the moment the suction cup contacts and lifts the material, and the system automatically compensates for and balances the pressure within 20ms, ensuring that the handler only needs to apply a guiding force of <2kg.

Value Proposition
Extremely Low Loss: Flexible adsorption technology eliminates the squeezing damage to the edges of the sheet metal caused by mechanical clamps, reducing glass breakage rates by over 95%.
Efficiency Revolution: Enables single-person, single-handed handling of large sheet metal (e.g., 3m*6m glass), streamlining the work from 3-4 people to just one.
Ergonomics: Completely eliminates the risk of lower back strain when manually handling large sheet metal, complying with the latest smart factory labor protection standards.
